In this exciting presentation participants will explore digital video infrastructure including HDMI, DVI-D and DisplayPort. The basis for all digital video, TMDS technology, will be defined and discussed. We'll look at changes in broadcast, presentation technology and emerging video formats to determine what needs to be included in your project for it to be ready for the future and the present. Most importantly, we'll examine in-depth the implications of analog sunset and the coming digital video revolution. From schools to office buildings, sports bars to hospitals, hotels to residential installations, the importance of fully incorporating digital video capabilities into every project's A/V system infrastructure will only grow. TMDS is the fastest growing signal application and it will eventually be a part of every installation, whether it is residential, commercial, a presentation system, digital signage, or part of an educational facility.

In this seminar, you will explore the characteristics of digital audio/video signal distribution within the framework of the TMDS environment. You will learn about the differences and similarities of DVI-D (single link and dual link), HDMI and DisplayPort. We will also explore how these complex digital A/V signals are best delivered, and what limitations and challenges might surface during a system installation.

Upon completion of this presentation, you will enjoy a working understanding of DVI-D, HDMI and DisplayPort technology, the importance of maintaining HDCP functionality, and the unique manner in which TMDS signals interface with displays, selectors, processors and repeaters.
